Watch NYPD Officers Pull Man from Subway Tracks as Train Approaches
Nov. 6, 2023
Two NYPD officers pulled a man from subway tracks in Queens as a train approached Saturday.
Officers Jonathan Valle and David Carnarte spotted a man fall onto the subway tracks just before 2:30 p.m. as they were working at a Mobile Force Field Post at the station, WABC-TV reports. Valle sprinted to the location and dropped down to the tracks.
Valle hoisted the man off the tracks, while Carnarte and a bystander helped him onto the landing. The officers were able to conduct the rescue before an approaching train reached the station.
The man was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. It's unclear what led to the man falling onto the tracks.
